- Description: Brazilian Oak, also known as Tauari, is similar to North American Red Oak, but 13% harder. It ranges from tan to medium brown in color, and has a medium graining pattern. In addition to providing the highly sought after "wheat" color associated with domestic oak, Brazilian Oak provides the look more affordably.
