Description
Originally from Australia, HURFORD HARDWOODS USA was established in 1987 as MOXON TIMBERS INC (USA). The former entity started small and set about becoming a reliable source of exotic Australian, and domestic lumber and flooring in the USA market. Fittingly, Hurford’s flooring specialty lies in Australian wood species, such as Sydney Blue Gum or Australian Cypress. While Hurford’s hardwood options have expanded to domestic species, they are still widely recognized as a premier importer of Australian hardwoods.
Specialties:
While never forgetting domestic American favorites like white oak and maple, Hurford is proud to have been the first company to introduce Australian Cypress into the US market in the late 1980s, and to have been market leaders by bringing other exotic species of flooring and lumber into the US.
