Species Description:
Hevea (also know as Rubberwood) is a light-colored, medium-density tropical hardwood obtained from the Para rubber tree (hevea brasiliensis). Hevea flooring is commonly advertised as an "environmentally friendly" wood floor, as it is repurposed from the plantation trees after they no longer produce rubber. Rubberwood flooring is known for its exceptional stability after being kiln dried, having less movement due to changes in humidity and moisture than a lot of other hardwoods. If you are looking for beautiful plantation hardwood, look no further!
